I initially went into this photo shoot just feeling spontaneous, something I wanted to try after a year of healing and growth - and along with that, the desire to try new experiences. I felt relaxed and at ease with Savannah's calming presence, and relished in her intent to weave in my own thoughts, ideas, and feelings into her work, creating a harmonious environment between photographer and subject. Her sense for artful and creative expression is powerful, and she made me feel like an absolute goddess!

It quickly began to feel natural and organic to allow myself to find comfort in being nude in a forest setting. As I became familiar with the feeling and began to enjoy it, that's when the magic really happened as my body movements became more fluid and malleable with the world around me. It was fun to find new poses and locations to experiment with, the serene setting proving to be a true playground for inspiration for both of us.

As my naked body lay against a soft mossy log, ferns tickling my legs and rain drops gently dropping on my exposed skin, I found an almost meditative space within myself. I began to realize it was no longer just the outcome of the photos that made this experience so special, it was the feeling of empowerment welling up from the act itself, of feeling comfortable and beautiful in my own body, a profound expression of self-love.

This year has been one of immense personal transformation for me, so what a blessing it is to have this experience and these gorgeous pieces of art as a timestamp for this era of my life.
